A Wish

I lie on the ground,
and stare into space,
the stars start to move,
into the shape of your face.

I see you there now,
looking down at me,
with that cute little smile,
that I like to see.

You say "close your eyes",
"tell me what you see",
I see only two people,
just you and me.

We're walking the shoreline,
with our feet getting wet,
the horizon turns pink,
as the sun starts to set.

We make love through the night,
on that white sandy shore,
then I hold you while thinking,
I could want nothing more.

Oh I wish I could be,
in that one special place,
as I lie on the ground,
and I stare into space...

Yesterday has gone with the wind, today is kissing my mortal eyes, tomorrow is Knocking at my door, day after tomorrow may be I would be no more...
I was alone before, I'm alone today, & I would be alone thereafter...
People come & go... meet & greet...weep & smile...speak & listen...
Then leave with a fake smile...& disappear in the mist Of unreliable time.
Whats remains in the end is nothing but me for me!

Since you've been gone.
Every morning when I get out of bed, I look into the mirror hoping to find my smile. But as usual, no smile.
I look and I look, but it's nowhere to be found.
I keep my eyes peeled wherever I go, but still no luck.


When I try to think just where it might be...
I can't help but wonder...
if maybe you know where I left my smile,
cause the last time I saw it, I was with you.
